Teddy 2 months

This has been the best month with Teddy! He has become so smiley in the mornings, making for a great start to the day. He typically sleeps about 10 pm-6 am which is glorious. He really is such a good, happy baby I can't get over it. We were apartment hunting for hours yesterday and he just slept on and off in his carseat letting us do our thing. He no longer hates tummy time and tries to swat at things sometimes. He has started to really coo and talk to us, it's pretty much the best. He still loves to be swaddled and cuddled. He is getting the hang of putting himself to sleep in his crib when he's drowsy but somedays he just needs to be held for his whole nap. I don't mind :) He has really started to love bath time and kicks like crazy, especially when Dad holds him. His cute new trick is rubbing his eyes when he's tired and its just about the cutest thing we've ever seen.

We went on our first family trip to Rehoboth Beach, Delaware and he did great! I left him for 15 hours to go to Philly for the day and he and Dad handled their first solo day wonderfully. Aunt Amy and Grandma Behnke came for fun visits too. He is going on his first airplane ride to Utah this weekend! He weighs 13.4 lbs and is 24 inches long. We love you Teddy Bear!

Teddy's blessing

Blake gave Teddy his name and blessing at church yesterday. We love our ward and have been so grateful for everyone's outpouring of love, excitement and support. We had our close friends, that feel more like our east coast family, attend and participate in the circle. Blake blessed Teddy with a love of learning (especially reading) and continued health. He blessed him to keep the faith like his grandparents and great grandparents. Blake and I often talk about how important it is to be kind so he stressed this quality in Teddy's blessing- kindness to others throughout his life. As soon as Blake started the blessing, I immediately started crying and didn't stop for most of the sacrament meeting. I just felt this overwhelming love for God and my family. My heart has never been so full. We are so grateful for Teddy's calm, peaceful, special spirit in our home. He is simply wonderful. I felt especially grateful for Christ's Atonement and how it makes eternal families possible. Afterwards, we had a little party at our house to celebrate Teddy. It was just a wonderful happy day and we are so grateful for Theodore Faust Behnke!

Christensens, Moesels, Levitts and Pierces. The best of the best!
