Law Graduation Festivities

Last weekend Blake graduated from The George Washington University Law School!!! I can't believe we met during our first week of orientation/classes and now we're at graduation. Blake's parents flew in for the festivities and it was a non-stop weekend.

Friday night we headed to dinner at 2Amys (one of my fav spots) for a delicious pizza dinner with our favorite DC family the Porters. Kirk and Blake met in the locker line at Orientation. Blake didn't have a locker buddy yet so he just started shouting "Who needs a locker buddy?" to the long line of 1Ls. Kirk hesitantly raised his hand and they have been best buds ever since.

The boys got matching leather padfolios. Cute lawyer friends.

Saturday morning we brunched at Founding Farmers. Beignets? Yes please.
A trip to Eastern Market, a quick tour of my work, Target run and Cafe Rio followed in the afternoon.

That night we headed to the Smithsonian Air and Space Museum. The law school had rented
out the place for a fancy reception. Guess that's what all that tuition money gets ya!

The best part was riding in the simulator. You get to flip around and do barrel rolls! It was so fun! Also most of the people were a little tipsy so we saw lots of motion sickness afterwards.

 So proud of this boy!

Blake with our LDS friends, Julia and Taylor.
We love the mormon club at GW!

Graduation day to come!
